Ms & Mr B, passionate about sailing, aspired to anchor their love for the sea into their new abode. The renovation of this Rapallo penthouse began on the terrace, observing the landscape of the Tigullio Gulf. The subsequent design process aimed to capture this beauty, articulating a layout centered around the views. The living room, kitchen, and dining area are united in an open-plan solution, all oriented towards the panoramic window framing the sea. From the moment one steps into the penthouse, the sea becomes a constant presence, accompanying daily activities from breakfast in the morning to relaxing afternoons on the couch. Echoing the essence of a sailing boat, the apartment features long, narrow plank parquet flooring reminiscent of a ship’s deck. A marine-inspired color palette flows throughout the space, from white to dark blue, reflected in the walls, fixtures, and custom-made furnishings.
